ABSTRACT
The word has gone technological and technology cannot be truly represented without the use of computers.
Accountancy as a profession cannot be left out on the race to catch up with the world of computer technology. This phenomenon is accountants.
Similarly, accountancy has continued to evolve in both structure and complexity in a rather dynamic manner. It was as a result of this development that gave birth to the use of computer in accounting.
This research work is therefore aimed at evaluating “the relevance of computer on accounting profession.
The work is organized in three chapters.
Chapter one is the introduction on the capabilities of computer and it functions. 
Chapter tow is the literature review, which reviews the diverse opinions of various authors with regards to the effect of computer in accounting profession.
However chapter three is the summary of findings.
