">In recent times, stress has been a thing of concern in workplaces as it affects the efficiency of workers in one way or the other. Stress is any interference that disturbs a person’s healthy, mental and physical well-being. In the banking institution today most bank workers are facing the problem of frustration due to different reasons obstructing career mobility of worker(s) by unnecessary delays in promotion. The aim of this research project is to study how bank workers cope with stress and stress-related health problems. Relevant literature were reviewed with the intention of critically analyzing literature of other authors on the issue of coping with stress and stress-related health problems among bank workers.General Adaptation Syndrome theory was used to explain the research problem. Stratified sampling technique was used in selecting respondents and purpose sampling was used in the in-depth interview. Findings of the study shows that  stress  that are common in all banks in Kaduna North Local Government Area of Kaduna State are over workload, given of target to workers, shortage of staff, repetition of the same work daily, and introduction of new technologies. These stress result to stress-related health problems which include; high blood pressure, body pain, ulcer, headache, and depression among others bank staff. Consequently, it can be concluded that stress in workplace precipitates stress related health problems among banker. Therefore, coping strategies that will reduce stress such as  going for annual leave, employment of more staff  and reduction of  hours of work would help reduce stress thus, improving workers’ productivity and efficiency.
